This month's version of "a little bit of history" is again different from others. The history we review is much more recent and I chose to review it through the eyes of James McBride and Spike Lee.
For those interested I recommend that you get the book, Miracle at St. Anna, from your library and read it first before you see the movie of the same name. McBride obviously researched his subject - Spike Lee wanted to portray the "Buffalo Soldiers" and in the process forgot what happened in St. Anna di Spazzema...or maybe not.
This time a little bit of history is longer than usual, so if you want to read it I recommend that you print it first, open a bottle of Montecarlo red, sit in your favourite chair and enjoy it.
